ENEROC Lithium Batteries Now Communicate Directly with CTI Industrial Chargers
The ENEROC battery management system (BMS) and a CTI charger can now exchange live data over CAN bus. Forklift fleets can keep their installed CTI chargers to pair with new ENEROC batteries.

City of Industry, CA – October 1, 2026 – ENEROC USA and Charging Technologies Inc. (CTI) have completed integration between ENEROC's LFP forklift batteries and CTI's lithium-capable high-frequency chargers. When an ENEROC battery is plugged into a CTI charger, the two devices identify each other over a wired CAN bus link and control charging based on the data the battery supplies. Operators don’t have to select a manual charge profile.
The ENEROC battery management system (BMS) sends the charger its requested charge current and voltage. It updates continuously as the state of charge and cell temperature change. The BMS also reports cell balancing status and estimated time to full charge. Pack voltage and capacity are sent at handshake. The charger stops or reduces current on a BMS fault or temperature limit.
The charger follows battery requests throughout the cycle. This keeps charge current inside the limits the battery's cells can safely accept, whether the fleet charges during breaks or runs a full overnight charge.
The integration covers CTI's lithium-capable chargers with the CAN bus communication option. CTI's Xtreme HF line spans 24 to 80 VDC in single-phase and three-phase models, with a rated power factor of 95% and nominal efficiency of 94%. CTI designs and builds its chargers in Bridgeton, Missouri.
"Our customers keep a charger in service for many years and count on it every shift, so reliability is the first thing we check in a battery partner," said Jeff Franklin, Inside Sales Manager at CTI. "ENEROC builds its packs on CATL cells, known for their exceptional one-per-billion defect rate, and its BMS gave our engineers clean, consistent data to work with. ENEROC has become one of the lithium suppliers our dealers ask about most."
"CTI chargers are installed in warehouses and distribution centers across the country," said Mark D'Amato, VP of Sales at ENEROC USA. "Fleets that already run CTI chargers can move to ENEROC lithium batteries and keep the chargers they have. Once connected, the battery and charger recognize each other and manage the charge smoothly."
Fleet operators and dealers can contact ENEROC USA at info@enerocusa.com or their local CTI Power Factor™ or Extreme Power™ dealer to confirm charger configuration.
